Two glimpses of stillness — a hilltop over the ocean and a bus through a fishing village at dusk.
And now I just can say thanks, I feel grateful for being here, seeing all this magic, what a day! what a view! what a life! The sun is just in front of me now up in the sky, shining the water creating a path of gold that ends over the rocks below me, I’m up the hills by the way, just listening to the sound of the waves crashing, surrounded by green, sat on rock, what a moment!
Going back home after a long day at the last beach in the south of the island, we are in a bus right now, each one of us sitting in a window seat thinking, going up a narrow road beside the sea water and the main land all behind it, we can see the hills over there, getting darker and darker in different shades from gray to black while the night arrives slowly, while we cross a neighborhood with many colonial colorful houses in pink, green and water blue just in front of the water and many oyster restaurants and I try to imagine what kind of life people live here, it looks so far from everything, and there is a strange but good and peaceful atmosphere around, as if nothing really matter here, nothing important to care about, just simple, beautiful and slow life, that goes fast across the decades, while the rest of the world stays out there..
